Who is G.I. Joe's Wife?

Hi there! My name is Sarah and I'm a 20-something Army wife and momma.

The cute guy in this picture is my hubby, Joe.

Joe and I met my junior year of college in Arkansas. Soon after we met, we had our first date and the rest was pretty much history. A year later, we got engaged and 6 months after that we got married.

It wasn't until a year later (the summer of 2009) that the Army entered our lives. Joe had been out of work for a few months (thanks, economy!) and decided to enlist. Just a month after our first anniversary, he shipped out to basic. About 8 months later, we arrived at our first duty station: Hawaii.

Not long after we arrived on the island of Oahu, we were informed we'd be going through our first deployment: from June 2010 - June 2011. It was a long, hard year, but we got through it by the grace of God and it has only made us stronger. You can read more about that here, if you so chose.

In August 2011, we found out we were expecting!!! {That's right, folks, a homecoming baby!} Our sweet baby girl, Charlotte, arrived on March 28, 2012. She is the cutest, sweetest little girl and we love her to pieces!

We also have one furbaby named Jasper. He's a Boston Terrier mix. Don't ask with what because we don't know! We rescued him from the shelter when he was just 2 months old.

What you'll find around this blog 'o mine is a lot of randomness. I'm an Army wife, so all things military-related are often talked about. I also talk about my awesome hubby and our family on occasion. I'm a Christian who loves God and try to please Him, though I regularly fail at doing so. I love to read. I started sewing while Joe was deployed and have really gotten into it since then. Occasionally I'll do a tutorial or crafty post. I also love to scrapbook, although that's taken a backseat since I started sewing. You'll also find some recipes here now and then because, well, I like to eat and I usually eat good food. ;-) Since there's a little baby in my house now, I talk about her a lot...even though I really try not to. It's just the focus of my life right now!

That's just the tip of the iceberg, so I hope you stick around to learn more! And please leave a comment saying "Hi" if you're a new follower. I love getting to know readers, fellow bloggers and milspouses - it's what makes me love blogging!
